About Kelsey

 
 

Kelsey grew up in Delta B.C. developing an interest for movement and sports at a young age. She competed in artistic gymnastics at international events and played many other sports at at a competitive level including soccer, track and field/cross country and tennis. She also grew up skiing the west coast mountains and exploring many of the provincial parks in B.C. Prior to pursuing a career in Physiotherapy Kelsey was a gymnastics coach working with both competitive and recreation athletes of all ages to develop movement and sport specific skills.

Kelsey is a graduate of the Master of Science in Physical Therapy Program at the University of Alberta and prior to that completed a Kinesiology degree from UBC. She has experience in working with sports and musculoskeletal injuries, concussion care and pelvic health care. Kelsey has also additional training in dry needling, manual therapy (CPA Ortho Division Level 2), vestibular therapy and clinical Pilates. In 2022 and 2023 Kelsey was the women’s artistic gymnastics team Physiotherapist for athletes competing at the Canadian National Gymnastics Championships.

With her clients Kelsey often uses a combination of manual therapy and exercise best directed to the needs of her clients. She loves to chat in her sessions and learn more about clients specific interests and is always open to book/movie/show/podcast suggestions. Kelsey is currently treating clients out of Gastown Physio & Pilates located next to Stadium Skytrain Station on Beatty Street.
